#21 (rusted farm equipment), archival inkjet print, 11 x 15" (min. paper dimensions 16 x 19")

i found a hardware store and bought some throw away pocket heaters. found some awesome
toe warmers too, they tape to your sock toes, they rock.

i head towards crazy horse. ive seen this as a kid. they where still working on it
at the time. the funny thing is i remember it as almost being completed(had a picture
in my mind not even remotely like what they have or what they intend). this is right
down the road from mt.rushmore. its a memorial to native americans. when completed it
will be bigger then rushmore, have a university, hospital and airstrip. its also privately
funded (by ticket sales), in fact the have turned down goverment funding.

after a treaty promising that the black hills would always be sioux land was broken
(they didnt know there was gold there) and his mentor killed. crazy horse started to
kick some ass. he was killed in nebraska under a flag of truce by a us solider bayoneting
him in his back. makes you kind of understand how they dont want goverment funding.
its a noble plan and i hope they finish it.

the sun had come out and the heating pads did the trick. i got going.
