it looks like i need to head south so thats what i do. and i have to tell you
the road i find, state road 3, was built for scooters. right after you go
under the expressway there is a sighn warning against semis and trucks with
trailers not to drive the road. the speed limit was 35mph. and it was 12 miles
of twisty roads following a small river followed by long rolling hills that left
you just enough momentim from the downhill to zoom up the uphill.
then just in case you are feeling a bit lost...
overall probly the best road so far. from there i jump on a state highway where
i get pulled over for the first time. evidently new mexico has a law only 200cc
and above are allowed on state highways. the cop was not happy but there was
nothing he could really do. i told him they dont give plates for scooters in
kentucky, i had insurance, and they didnt post that scooters werent allowed
anywhere. in the end after talking on his radio for about 15 min he just told
me to take a state road to camp for the night and gave me directions to get out
of new mexico. it was getting late and his camping site was closer so i went where
he told me.
