morning comes as it always does. i climb quite a few more feet of elevation. then i come
down one mountain and up another. in this valley when i hit the low part it was like
driveing into a walkin freezer.my map showed that i had to travel over a hundred miles
south after comeing out of the valley to get around the mountains. i camped by this stream
and called it a good day. luckily my map was wrong there was a pass at about 9000 feet or so. most of this drive
through the pass and moutain top was scarred by a forest fire.
