Painting circles is calming and grounding. It’s not been about chasing beauty or order so much as letting beauty take care of itself. Meanwhile my job is to show up again and again with honest line and color.
He drew a circle that shut me out-- Heretic, rebel, a thing to flout. But Love and I had the wit to win: We drew a circle that took him in!
